Hi everyone,

I was looking at learning/contributing to Mahout and was checking out this
list located at [1].

It seems only 3 remain open. Is it possible to refresh this list?

Yes, we try to tag as we go.  However, don't feel like it is the only thing you can work on, either.  That tag is just setup w/ the idea that someone thought it was a good one for a new contributor to work on as it wasn't super involved.

Hi Grant,

I'm looking at some problems in JIRA, and seems all blockers have been
fixed. Can you suggest some JIRAs to work on? Something that's not too
heavy duty to start off...

Tharindu- if you are interested clustering, there is a visualization
tool for our cluster output, call Gephi. Adding more metadata to the
clusters for visualization would be a great help.

In general we're low in the visualization department.

Very much. Data visualizations is one of my interest areas. I'll have a
look.

I'm OK in java, distributed stuff but weak in machine learning algo's, so I
might take some time to grasp some stuff.
