Hi,

I tried to enter a blank csv file in canopy/kmeans clustering algorithm. It executed 2 jobs after which the program threw an exception. My query is that in other cases like when I enter a malformed file having decimal and characters, the exception is thrown initially without any job execution, then why not in the case of blank file.

Any input on this will be very useful.

If this is the case, then it should be fixed.
Can you open a JIRA for it explaining the case.

If you want to contribute, then it looks like a very good place to begin
with. It would be a simple fix. So, please feel free to provide a patch
if you are interested.
