It looks like there are a couple areas still left to fill out in the grant:
1. Check and make sure that for all items included with the distribution that is not under the Apache license, we have the right to combine with Apache-licensed code and redistribute. 2. Check and make sure that all items depended upon by the project is covered by one or more of the following approved licenses: Apache, BSD, Artistic, MIT/X, MIT/W3C, MPL 1.1, or something with essentially the same terms. For the other ones about reminding committers, you can likely just put in a date, as we aren't adding any new committers just yet. Correct and I'm saying I'm withholding my vote that we accept it until the IP clears. The whole vote is moot if the licenses don't check out and we can't accept it due to legal issues. ---------------------------------------------------------------------

The whole vote is moot if the licenses don't check out and we can't accept it due to legal issues. I'm not sure this is a total dealbreaker If the IP on IPADIC doesn't check out. Worst case, we could do the modifications and initially only support naist-jdic (pure BSD license): http://sourceforge.jp/projects/naist-jdic/ Not ideal, but still an escape hatch for the worst-case. -- lucidimagination.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Sounds reasonable. From the looks of the license Simon posted on legal-discuss, I doubt it will be an issue, but I just want to make sure we are clear on whatever it is before we accept it.
