unresolved dependencies when building nutch 1.5
Magnús Skúlason 2012-06-27, 17:06
Hi,
When I build nutch 1.5 with ant I get the unresolved dependency error below: [ivy:resolve] :: problems summary :: [ivy:resolve] :::: WARNINGS [ivy:resolve] :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: [ivy:resolve] :: UNRESOLVED DEPENDENCIES :: [ivy:resolve] :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: [ivy:resolve] :: commons-collections#commons-collections;3.2.1: configuration not found in commons-collections#commons-collections;3.2.1: 'master'. It was required from commons-configuration#commons-configuration;1.6 compile [ivy:resolve] ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I have tried downloading commons-collections-3.2.1.jar and manually place it in $HOME/.ivy2/local/org/apache/commons/collections/3.2.1/jars and $HOME/.ivy2/local/org.apache/commons/collections/3.2.1/jars but that does not help.
I am not that familiar with Ivy, anyone knows how I should go about to fix this?
best regards, Magnus

Hi Magnús,
N.B. the nutch-user@lucene... address no longer exists there is no larger user community by adding this to your outgoing mail.

The reason the dependency is not available may be due to an intermittent problem fetching with Ivy. I've encountered this many times in the past and generally find that given time this problem sorts itself out. Apart from that I have no other suggestion.

Hi,
woops! I accidentally sent to the old address since it was cached and auto suggested in my mail client.
I managed to fix the problem by removing the .ivy2 folder in my home folder and run ant again. Before I had updated both apache ant and ivy, but that alone did not fix the problem.
best regards, Magnus
